Assessment of Pediatric First Permanent Molar Management under General Anesthesia at the King Abdulaziz Medical City, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Background: The use of general anesthesia (GA) among children has seen an increase globally. Both tooth extraction and restoration treatments on were done under GA, but there are consequences in using GA children, which also include changes the treatment plan. First permanent molar (FPM) is a very strategic treatment, notable lack studies that assess detail this type especially its frequency administration GA. This study determines FPM at King Abdulaziz Medical City (KAMC) Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
 Methods: Our cross-sectional reviewed cases dental rehabilitation between ages 5 14 years old from 2015 to 2018. These had erupted first molars treated GA.
 Results: included 394 with 1330 FPMs for (27%) preventive, (56%) restorative, (17%) treatments. administered color (49%), fissure sealant application (37%), SSC (8.9%), amalgam filling (4.5%). Low pulpal was reported mostly involved indirect pulp capping. Most final restorations covered only one surface, followed by two-surface restorations, then SSC. 
 Conclusions: pediatric dentists’ decision KAMC following AAPD guideline restorative least significantly influenced their ages, gender, health conditions. therapy dependent children’s age. dentist efforts should be directed initiate more preventive programs effective home care utilization PHC centers.
